ABSTRACT

J. L. Moreno always contended that his first love was philosophy. He matriculated at the University of Vienna initially as a philosophy student. Faced with the need to earn a living and at the urging of his maternal uncles, he then entered the medical school of that university. There are several different philosophical issues to be considered in this chapter. These include the ideas or hypotheses that Moreno identified as his personal philosophy, the principles that guided his life course.
