ABSTRACT
On the basis of the previous chapters I shall, in this chapter, try to outline a general and up-to-date understanding of the concept of identity that can hold together this important but at the same time rather wildly growing concept — an understanding that can be relevant in supporting the definition, practice and theory of transformative learning and therefore must include an overview of the content and structure of the identity.
