ABSTRACT

This chapter analyzes the Arusha Peace and Reconciliation Agreement as a case study of courage and hope for Burundi and the Burundian people across and within ethic groups. This commitment has been communicated widely to the Burundian people through town hall meetings as well as cultural and peace rallies and festivals, such as a March 2011 event that Elavie Ndura attended in Karusi province.
