The bulk of statutory intervention has been regulatory, but there are some Acts of Parliament which have been passed to deal with particular aspects of substantive insurance law. Those pieces of legislation relevant to specific forms of insurance have been set out and considered at the relevant points in this work. Other statutes which are of general application are considered in this chapter and are summarised in the following paragraphs.
