ABSTRACT
The thermal shock resistance of glass pane is an important aspect that appears relevant in the recent years, due to the increment of luminous and solar characteristics of glass products. The glass industry has developed new products with high performance coatings (low . and selecting glass coatings), which decrease the thermal transmittance of insulating glass unit but, on the other hand, they increase also the thermal shock breakage because their high thermal absorptance. Also the use of multi-cavity in IGU increase the risk.
