ABSTRACT
In 2012, Bellapart were invited to tender on a radical and experimental design by Heatherwick Studios and Arup. The scope of which covered the detailed design, fabrication and assembly of two glass-houses (Figure 1) for the Bombay Sapphire Spirits Company. Bombay Sapphire are developing a new headquarters, production facility and visitor’s centre for their world-renowned gin. The glass-houses are to form the centre-piece of this new facility where the botanicals infused into the gin would be grown and displayed for the visiting public.
