ABSTRACT
The state party reporting mechanism is symbolic of the non-confrontational and advisory nature surrounding the implementation of the Convention on the Right of the Child (CRC). Indeed, according to Santos Pais, the state party reporting mechanism provides an effective framework for constructive dialogue between the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and state parties. 1
