ABSTRACT

Dealing with the pressures of change to keep an organisation strong and possibly even growing has never been easy. Products and services must improve and change in line with competition—and sometimes they need to be abandoned and replaced. People must adapt and change. Some people are more flexible than others, and the culture in which they work can help or hinder. This book takes a person-centred approach to the challenges of change in today's world, but in this section we look first at the operating context and the strategic opportunities and challenges it brings for people and organisations.
