ABSTRACT

Communication is the act of sending and receiving information. The art of communicating is being able to send clear signals and being willing to hear and receive other people’s signals. When two people are succeeding at communicating, they understand each other’s views and both feel like they have been listened to by the other person. How often does this happen in your relationship? Have you ever heard your partner say, “You never listen to me!” or “Why don’t you ever care what I have to say?” If you or your partner has ever felt misunderstood, then the problem probably resulted from a breakdown in communication.
