As pointed out in the previous Part, though the client presents what he or she understands to be a job to be done, in the form of his or her commission, it is not possible to begin meaningful work until this commission information is expanded into the brief. Figure 10.1 gives a framework within which the whole process may be controlled. The most important stages are those marked ‘Thinks’.
