The spiritual dimension of human learning

In this chapter I want to argue that learning is an aspect of the human condition and that religion is a reflection of this condition so that we all have the potential to acquire spiritual answers to our human questions but since I want to differentiate the spiritual from spiritualism, it is important from the outset to clarify our terms and to contextualise the argument and so the first part of this paper sets to scene. Thereafter, we examine a number of aspects of human experience from which we can learn but for which we cannot discover empirical answers.
