ABSTRACT
This chapter is a highly speculative attempt to bring together two seemingly opposing theoretical perspectives in order to expand the capabilities of both. Jungian film analysis and discourse analysis are both useful ways of thinking about and describing films, a kind of translation or re-rendering of film imagery into another vocabulary. The suggestion is that there may be a value in bringing together the vocabularies of Jungian theory and discourse analysis.
