Teacher Cognitive Functioning in Patterns of Classroom Teaching Behavior: Dennis W. Sunal and Cynthia S. Sunal

Expectations for suceessful classroom teaching involve many complex behaviors that necessitate effective use of higher-level thought processes and decision-making abilities. The thought processes forming the basis of the behaviors researched in Piagetian performance tasks appear to be similar to the processes which are required in the development of a basis for the understanding of teaching in a classroom.
