ABSTRACT

The previous chapters have detailed the design and construction of townhouse units and communities. Each chapter focused on a number of issues within a defined topic, describing a variety of possible alternatives. Some approaches may be rendered not suitable while others will become the foundation of the project identity and concept. To illustrate a comprehensive design process and outcome, several projects have been featured in this chapter. They have been selected because they cover a range of issues, concerns and approaches relevant to townhouses. Some are small in scale whereas others are large, yet each offers valuable lessons.
