ABSTRACT
Theories of culture include historical legacies. The idea is not that each and every country has a history that frames its presence and affects its future. On the contrary, certain highly conspicuous traditions have had a huge impact upon a country. These legacies are unique to each country. The notion of culture as historical legacy fits well with the constructivist approach to culture.
