ABSTRACT
Working at a children’s hospital, I have often heard teens referred to as the “lost population” in pediatric medical care. They struggle with the standard insecurities of adolescence, compounded by the confusing unfairness of medical complications. It’s hard enough to be a teenager. It’s even harder to be a sick teenager.
