ABSTRACT
The focus in the preceding chapters is largely on teachers working with groups of learners. Given that many teachers still have at least some work with individual learners, it is useful to explore to what extent these ideas of teaching with emotional intelligence apply when working one-to-one and whether they differ in that context.
