ABSTRACT

If they can write good dialogue and structure a story in scenes, as outlined in the previous chapter, young people should be able to write perfectly serviceable scripts and get a lot of pleasure from doing so. But older or particularly gifted pupils may not be satisfied with turning out a serviceable script; they may have ambitions to write something a bit more sophisticated, something that has more depth – in which case there are some additional things that it would be useful for them to know.
