Four Parts: Tenor Moves Between Hands

Although it is easiest to maintain the same distribution of voices between the hands throughout the performance of an open score, in many instances this will not be possible. In most of these cases, it is the tenor part that will have to be moved between the hands. When you scan through an open score before playing, one of your first tasks is to examine the tenor part to identify where shifts between the hands will occur.
