ABSTRACT
In Chapter 3 I considered various permutations on the connections between city, country, and world. Here I look at the relationship between city and country, and focus on one permutation: Big City/Small Country. To be more precise: there are some countries where one city dominates such that it contains most of the population and is the sole center of power and influence; this state of affairs is termed urban primacy.
