ABSTRACT
It must be acknowledged that, in some circumstances, breastfeeding is not possible for mothers or infants. This chapter will cover a range of alternative feeding methods and the use of donor milk when the mother’s own breastmilk is not available. Safe artificial feeding will also be described and instruction on sterilising feeding equipment included.
