ABSTRACT
In all levels of society women were in a search of an identity. This issue has been resolved in the West, but Turkish society is going through a transition. Mine was the beginning of this search. It came out parallel to the feminist movement of the 1980s and was very successful. A cinema in Anatolia, with a capacity of 200 seats, had to be closed to men, when 190 women showed up. 1
