ABSTRACT
This book has set out to revisit and further develop the state of the art in analyzing issue salience in international politics. The authors of the individual chapters have contributed to that purpose in very different ways reflecting the wide array of theoretical perspectives, methodological approaches and empirical foci which studies in the field can display. Indeed, the strong interdisciplinary dimension of studying issue salience in international politics is a hallmark of the field and one of its most conspicuous strengths: in particular, scholarship in the field promises to bring together research agendas in International Relations (IR), Foreign Policy Analysis (FPA), Comparative Politics, Communication Studies and Cognitive Psychology.
