ABSTRACT
In Chapter 6 we developed an initial spectrum of kinds of narrative character covering forms of descriptive narrative through to more elaborative forms. We showed earlier, however, that these narrative forms needed to be related to how people became agentic in delineating courses of action and learning strategies to use in their lives. In the next four chapters, we review the four major narrative types discerned across a range of research projects.
