ABSTRACT
For the ELMA scholar new to Bourdieu it is probably best to begin with some books written about Bourdieu and then look at some of the ways in which his toolkit has been brought to educational questions. Once familiar with this, it is good to get immersed in his own writing, perhaps starting with his work on education before going onto his work on academic practice. Please note that the lists that follow largely refer to books and special issues of journals.
