ABSTRACT
This chapter first describes the administrative structure of a typical university so that you can see how all the separate parts of the university work and fit together. Each part of the system is explained so that you understand how the university functions and how you can use these administrative structures to support your study experience and life at university. The chapter then looks at the key issues of accommodation and finance, and disciplinary and grievance procedures should you be unfortunate enough to be involved in these.
