As one Key Stage 3 teacher said, 'Since I 've discussed with the assistant what we should do I've become much clearer in my own mind about outcomes that I want for all the children. I really miss it at times of the day when she's not around, I've got so used to the feedback and good ideas!' Another primary teacher said that, since the literacy strategy had been introduced and he and the assistant had planned how they would implement it, he now had much more flexible ideas about how to make the best use of the assistant's skills and ideas at other times and in other curriculum areas.
