ABSTRACT

Introduction THIS CIIAP1BI AIMS to explore the principles that wtderpin the concept of inclusion and what inclusive practice might be. Its purpose is to provide the reader with knowledge and wtderstanding which will help them approach the issues raised throughout the rest of the book. It explores why it is important to have inclusive schools and an inclusive society. It discusses why schools need to be aware of children's cultural backgrowtds, gender, special educational needs, disabilities and gifts and talents so that all those who work with children may provide appropriate learning activities for all pupils, whatever their needs.
