ABSTRACT
Up to this point, a variety of different interpretations of the idea of reflection have been considered:
the everyday use of the word;
its use in the theoretical approaches of Dewey and Habermas;
its use in experiential learning;
the manner of its use by Schon;
its application in the notion of ‘the reflective practitioner’
its involvement in professional activities, such as decision making and theory building;
its application in counselling and self-development activities.
