ABSTRACT
By the time you've reached this chapter you should be well on your way to meeting the QTS standards and becoming a qualified teacher. This, however, is just the beginning. In front of you is a career in which you never stop thinking and learning. Your induction year will build on your Initial Teacher Training and prepare you for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and we will look at that in this chapter. But first of all, we look at the issue of that important first job.
