ABSTRACT
Children acquire new knowledge, skills and concepts in many different ways and the successful teacher is one who is well informed about the learning process. With this insight he or she should be able to select or design powerful learning experiences for pupils. However, these experiences will have little or no impact if they are presented inappropriately, organised carelessly or managed badly. In the most effective teaching there is a symbiotic relationship between the content of a lesson and its execution.
