ABSTRACT
You will need: a container (e.g. a box, tin, bag, hat, etc.), small cut up pieces of paper.
This could be used as a precursor to a topic - to see what is generally known, or just after it - to gauge levels of understanding. Alternatively, it could be used just for fun - to see who can talk on any topic without hesitation, repetition or deviation. Either way it's a great opportunity for children to practise speaking audibly, clearly and with confidence, and it is also useful for reinforcing turn-taking skills.
