ABSTRACT

This section assumes the group is now working well together and is ready for more serious challenges. The new block is divided into four areas, four different vocabularies or perhaps dialects within the same language. These are not hermetically sealed from each other but instead each one places stress on a different aspect of the performer’s capability. Movement is rooted in physicality while Imagework draws from imagination and memory. Plot relies on enacted incident and Narrative places emphasis on storytelling. In complete expressions of performance, all these elements cohere together, but for training pur poses there are benefits in examining them separately.
