ABSTRACT
This section derives from conversing with Di Nicholson about working across the disciplines in language units in mainstream schools. As a teacher/speech and language therapist, she already has fused two perspectives. She knows how it feels to be in both roles and therefore promotes sensitive, interprofessional working. This is a gap she has closed in her own dealings. She takes up the story in her own voice:
