Beyond its underlying community responsiveness and the market discipline enjoyed by the private nature of its ownership, Playa Vista maintains a fundamental commitment to environmental stewardship. Virtually every decision to be made regarding the project's design has been subject to the scrutiny of a decision making process that seeks to be sensitive to the environment, without sacrificing profitability. Although work on Playa Vista will continue for some time, early marketing efforts have demonstrated a favourable response.
