Shirazi Jewish Ethics and Attitudes

The values shared by Shirazi Jews are not, for the most part, “Jewish” values perse. The local Jewish world-view tends to reflect the ethos of the Persian urbanite masses admixed and often in harmony with tenets of the Jewish “great tradition”. But it also responds to the particular vicissitudes of the Jewish experience in and around Shiraz.
