ABSTRACT

Much has been learned and written about the process of grief and bereavement in children since Kübler-Ross (1969, 1974) first described the stages of grief and the mourning process. To even note the myriad of references available for parents, clinicians, and especially for children to help with the navigation of the grief and bereavement process is well beyond the scope of this book. We refer, therefore, to some of our favorite books and stories that have been helpful to children and families (Grollman, 1991; Miles, 1971; Viorst, 1971; White, 1952).
