ABSTRACT
We chatted casually about her new school friends and her Christmas wish list as Tanya drew a picture using the crayons and large drawing pad in my offi ce. Children often entertain themselves when we talk, using the art supplies, puzzles, and clay that fi ll my child-friendly offi ce. Suddenly, she put down her crayons and looked up at me expectantly. “Aren’t you going to ask me about my picture?” 10-year-old Tanya said teasingly. “ Well, of course, ” I answered, “ tell me about your picture. ”
