ABSTRACT

The final stages of the project life cycle are to commission, handover and review the project. It is common for the importance of these stages to be overlooked by project managers. The APM Body of Knowledge identifies a handover stage which involves the completion of the project to the satisfaction of the sponsor. It also involves introducing the user to the operation of the facility and compiling documentation that provides information on the safe, efficient and effective use of the building.
