ABSTRACT

This book is intended to help students when faced with assessments in employment law. As the subject tends to build on contract and tort, it is normally taught in the later stages of a degree and thus students will already have been exposed to essay and problem-style questions. As such, this book provides examples of both types of question. It is intended to help students with both coursework and exam questions. It covers the main topics in an employment law syllabus, although it also covers collective employment law, which, in some institutions, is now taught as a separate subject in its own right. The answers in the book are in no way definitive, but show the student an approach to answering the questions and the sort of areas within the questions to emphasise.
