ABSTRACT

The previous chapters have attempted to develop various crucial elements that would make up an ethical school, or a system of ethical schools. This chapter will attempt to position those elements in a somewhat logical order, along with additional commentary that will in summary fashion highlight their importance. The effort here is to bring the main points of the preceding chapters, each of which involved some conceptual heavy lifting, into a certain clarity and applicability. It will become evident that we are presenting an idealized picture of what a school or a system of schools belonging to a single school district or school authority might look like in its full development. Such a picture is intended to lay out for those educators who might want to actually attempt to cultivate an ethical school or school system what elements would more thoroughly guarantee its integrity.
