ABSTRACT
We’ve already touched on the idea of metaphors – for example the Simile Game on page 5 and Ride a Giant Butterfl y on page 32. In this section we want to emphasise both the power and pervasiveness of metaphors in our language and the fact that they exert subtle but powerful infl uences on our perceptions and the way we think.
