ABSTRACT

Most children say their fi rst words around the age of one. Soon after they begin stringing those words together several months later, they start asking questions. Between the ages of two and three, the questions seem to become endless (we can imagine those wan smiles of recognition on parents’ faces now). There is real skill and a purpose in these unconsciously formed questions. What we would like to do here is to raise awareness of these questions and then develop that skill to enable question selection for effective coaching practice.
