ABSTRACT

This book began by stating its three interconnected aims: to justify the importance of a cross-curricular approach to teaching and learning mathematics, to provide a wide range of examples, and to explore both the potential and pitfalls of such an approach. Each of these aims has been addressed in a number of ways throughout the chapters of this book. However if these intentions are to have any meaning it is critical that you take time now to refl ect on the preceding chapters and evaluate how they might impact on your practice as a mathematics teacher.
