ABSTRACT
The material in this chapter bears on one of the most important and fascinating problems in epistemology: is there any position, or belief set, that is not underpinned by faith (or that lacks dogmatic elements)? The worry is that if there is not, then relativism beckons; that it would be acceptable to choose whichever poison one likes (or to stick with whichever poison one inherits).
