ABSTRACT
In the preceding chapters, it has been considered why the EEC was created and how it has developed into today’s EU, who ‘runs’ the European Union, the various sources of law that make up the Union’s legal system and the relationship between national and EU law. In order to understand how the Union works in practice, we now need to consider how EU law is enforced.
