ABSTRACT

The exercises presented in this chapter address above all intra-family issues and relationship problems. They aim to make overt hidden thoughts, feelings and values. Families need to know other families a little bit before embarking on some of these exercises as they may feel forced to talk about issues that are too personal. Many of the exercises can also be applied to single family work. However, in a multi-family setting the responses and reflections of other families, provide an additional powerful context within which specific family and individual issues can be explored.
