ABSTRACT
The material presented in the last chapter provided only an introductory coverage of item response theory (IRT). In the present chapter, we will specialize our discussion further by considering several important concepts and models of IRT. We will see that the generalized linear modeling (GLIM) approach used in Chapter 10 will find specific applicability here and will allow us to describe easily notions and relationships of relevance in IRT at the level aimed in this book.
