ABSTRACT
Emergence is generally described as a process of arising, emerging, coming to attention or gaining shape or pattern not from an overall plan or concept, but out of the self-organizing arrangement of smaller elements guided by simple rules of combination or cooperation, the properties of those elements, and information about the immediate context of each element.
