ABSTRACT

In the polytheistic stage of religious development, religion differentiates itself, according to the difference of nationality or mental characteristics of nations, into the monolatry of the ancient Hebrews, the henotheism or kathenotheism of Vedic India, the dualistic religion of ancient Persia, the sheer polytheisms of the ancient Greeks, Romans and Teutons-the mythological religion of the ancient Japanese not being an exception.
